Venomous Villains

Venomous Villains

Guide to murder

Venomous Villains is a genre-bending speculative fiction novel encompassing supernatural, superhero, and urban fantasy themes. Combining humour, domestic fiction, and the Vigilante genre with deeply flawed alcoholic Australian morally grey characters.
The story is narrated by the ghost of the first hero of this alternate Earth, who is so bored with watching heroes and making sure they’re living up to her legacy that she decides to follow these villains for the sheer entertainment they provide.
Someone sleeps with a pig, a police officer who wants nothing more than to lock them away and melt the key. The body of a bad husband is buried in the Australian Outback. And the antagonist is surprisingly not who you think. All writers, though the poorer trajectory of their careers, have claimed that the villain is within their protagonist, festering like a parasite in the gut of their hero. Zerif can accurately claim this information to be true. This group of villains consisting of a mind-reading self-proclaimed genius who is your average Robyn Hood except for the giving it back to the poor part, the underaged equivalent of pure ethanol, a tattooed giantess, their boss, and a singular token man, embark on a journey to better themselves within 9 months.
It follows the trends set by villains and street fighters in Disney films from Deadpool, Loki, The Villains of Valley View. As well as the classics, Misfits, The Boys, the Gentleman Bastards Sequence by Scott Lynch, the Spellman Files by Lisa Lutz, and Anime and manga such as the Vigilantes spin-off of My Hero Academia and Super Crooks.
