Author Bio Short 

Josephine Renee (she/her) is a 23-year-old Brisbane Australian author enrolled at Queensland University of Technology majoring in creative writing and is the Brisbane Writers Festival 2024 Youth Ambassador. She is the president of the university Literary Salons and is the 2023 recipient of the Kellie van Meurs Memorial Scholarship. She has travelled Europe for two years, spent a year and a half in North America, and has recently returned from Paris. When not gaining world-building inspiration, she dedicates her time to writing and illustrating. Josephine Renee (she/her) is a 23-year-old queer Meanjin Brisbane Australian author enrolled at Queensland University of Technology majoring in creative writing and has volunteered at Brisbane Writers Festival 2022 – 2023 and is the 2024 Youth Ambassador. She is the president of the university Literary Salons and is the 2023 recipient of the Kellie van Meurs Memorial Scholarship. She has travelled Europe and North Africa for two years, spent a year and a half in the USA, Canada, Cuba, and Mexico, and has recently returned from Paris. When not gaining world-building inspiration, she dedicates her time to writing and illustrating, with a self-published children’s book and dedicated readership on her web-comic Horn-Nhei.
